Project manager spent 40 minutes telling me why his customer should be the center of my universe and used every way possible to indirectly call me and my group a failure. Would ya look at that. I'm all out of fucks to give now. I guess it's time to punch out and GTFO.
New Years resolution? Drive down to HQ, piss on the guys desk, and quit.

If you're gonna quit anyway, take a crap in his laptop and close the lid.

If you weren't directly responsible for whatever he was complaining about, why would you quit? And why would you burn a bridge in the process? Just shrug it off and move on. Unless they're going to fire you anyway...

Not gonna get fired, but I'm sick of this crap. There is no room to advance or improve myself. Due to lack of other options (a team of 6 is now a team of 2), they pick a random person in my group and make them the "knowledge leader" without any prior or promised training. Then they get mad when you don't immediately know everything about everything. It's convenient for the manager folk because they have dedicated parking for whatever bus is heading their way that week. It just sucks for the rest of us.
TL;DR - I'm bitching about stupid shit. I also hate my job.

I like the way you think.

At my last job, we called that the "irreplaceability test"
There was a MAJOR project that I was a part of that was going poorly overall. My part was rock solid so I could help out in other places. Anyway, at that time another guy and I came up w/ the irreplaceability test wherein one would go into the CEO's office, drop a deuce in the laptop and close the lid. Only a few of us on the project were confident we could do it without getting fired on the spot.

I'm going to remember that. For the moment, I could be the only person capable of saving the company, and they would still let me go without hesitation. Same goes for anyone else in the company. They really don't seem to care.
